Here's two sneaky snaps from a feature I worked on as production designer/art director. One scene I was channeling 'Scotland's dirtiest toilet' from Trainspotting. Spot the condoms, broken glass, and turd-shaped chocolate biscuits.

I was equally pleased with my clean-up job the next day, my mum would've been proud.

Weight loss tip #13: Be an animator. Over the 2 month shoot, I must have lost nearly 2kg during my first outing with clay. Here are some snaps!

Clockwise. a) With a heater under the lens and the hairdryer strapped between the lights, both running for 14 hours straight, the room got to 32 degrees Celsius. I sat right there the whole time making sure the house didn't perish in flames. b) Me and my little friend doing business. c) The inevitable aftermath. Hallelujah!

Here are 2 stills from a safe-sex spot entitled 'Sex with Condoms'. Animated in stopmotion, I used just about 100 condoms for the shoot. Thanks to novelty flavoured condoms, for weeks my studio reeked like fruit punch.

I've been acquiring condoms for the last 2 weeks, collecting every shape, colour, size, flavour on the market. I'd be unwrapping packets and checking the colour combinations in sex shops amongst bemused customers. One shop I came back to the next day, the manager asked how I got on. I said "They were great, I'll buy another 2 packs". With the look he gave me, I think I'm the first customer to buy 48 condoms in 24 hours.

Seattle Times - Commissioned from Australian animator Dave Carter, three one-minute "Psychotown" shorts are equally childish but irresistibly hilarious, using simple cutout figures in a staccato barrage of nonsensical dialogue and wanton absurdity.

San Francisco Chronicle - The Animation Show commissioned works for the first time. Their choices include a creative stop-motion piece ("Western Spaghetti"); "Psychotown," by talented Australian artist Dave Carter; and the funniest movie you'll ever see about pallbearers, "This Way Up," by the animation team Smith and Foulkes.

St Louis Post-Dispatch - Nearest to Judge's heart seems to be three episodes of "Psychotown," an Australian version of the vile Terrance and Phillip on "South Park" who themselves are a version of "Beavis and Butt-Head.

Dallas Morning News - The shorts range from the innocuous but strange to the foulmouthed but hilarious offerings of Australian Dave Carter. Mr. Carter is the creator of the three short episodes of "Psychotown," which feature South Park-like crude figures who always have something shocking to contribute.

Detroit Metro Times - Despite a trio of predictable Claymation crotch-biting gags and the amusing but obviously destined-for-TV Psychotown, this year's Animation Show once again does a terrific job of introducing audiences to a wide palette of styles and storytelling.

Denver Film Society - Australian animator Dave Carter debuts three new commissioned shorts with the hilarious “Psychotown”. Dave continues his collaboration with the comedy team ‘The Nice Guys’ here for a blend of cut out and stop-motion animation.

Time Out New York  - The fourth collection of animated shorts compiled by the indispensable Mike Judge is typically funny and violent—usually both at once. Some recurring bits, notably Dave Carter’s punchy “Psychotown” vignettes.

People - The Animation Show, short toons are often created with large production teams, and they run the gamut of animation styles, from the talking-cardboard feel of Dave Carter's "Psychotown" to the complex live-action animation from "Raymond."
